The Cobra Tector CT-1028 is a lightweight metal detector featuring a waterproof search coil, designed for locating buried metal objects, coins, gold, silver, militaria, and jewellery, as well as detecting steel beams in walls or floors.
Operating Modes and Controls
The device provides several adjustments to optimize target detection:
- Metal Discrimination (DISC): distinguishes ferrous metals from non-ferrous metals such as gold, silver, copper, aluminium, and lead, helping to filter out trash like bottle caps or shrapnel.
- Pinpoint (P/P): allows precise target pinpointing once an object is detected.
- All Metal Mode: detects all types of metal without filtering.
- Sensitivity and Volume: dedicated SENSE and VOLUME controls to match operating conditions.
Design and Audio Signalling
Equipped with a 220 mm waterproof low-frequency coil and an easy-to-read LCD screen, the detector indicates finds visually and through 3-tone audio signalling via the built-in speaker or 3.5 mm headphone socket.
