The ARCTIC S12038-8K is a 120 × 120 × 38 mm fan designed for continuous cooling in servers and industrial systems. It fits server cases from 3U and can replace a CPU or radiator fan, or provide system ventilation.

Adjustable airflow

Speed can be adjusted from 800 to 8000 rpm using PWM or voltage regulation. Maximum airflow is 370 m³/h, while static pressure of 37 mm H₂O helps move air through closely spaced cooling fins.

Bearing construction: two Japanese ball bearings in a brass housing support impeller stability.
Active motor cooling: an additional impeller in the fan hub cools the motor.
Motor protection: reverse polarity, overvoltage and overcurrent protection are provided.

Connection and power

The fan has a 4-pin connector and a 300 mm cable. It also supports connection and control through 2-pin or 3-pin headers. It requires 12 V DC power, with a specified current of 2.2 A and a maximum current of 3.2 A.
