Choose countryThe Kenwood UBZ-LJ9SET includes two PMR446 handheld radios for short-range communication. The PMR446 standard is licence-free in Europe, and batteries and charging accessories are included.
Channels and communication
Choose from 32 channels and use QT/DQT selective calling with other PMR446 radios. When selective calling is enabled, users must have the same signalling setting. ERP 500 mW transmitting power provides a range of up to 6 km, although terrain, buildings and other environmental conditions can considerably affect this.
- Channel management: channel search, channel scan, priority scan and transmit lock when a channel is busy.
- Sound settings: adjustable squelch, up to 20 ringtones and selectable beeps.
- Voice activation: headset-based VOX with 3 sensitivity levels.
- Operating controls: a time-out timer and low battery warning.
Power and accessories
The replaceable 1 150 mAh lithium-ion battery provides up to 18 hours of operation with 90% standby, 5% transmit and 5% receive time. USB-C charging works with a USB power adapter or power bank, and batteries can also be charged outside the radio. Additional replacement batteries are available separately.
An illuminated dot-matrix display shows the settings. The Kenwood 2.5/3.5 mm double jack accepts optional audio accessories such as headsets, speaker microphones and earphones.

Can these communicate with other radio models?
