Choose countryThe Baofeng BF-T17 set includes 2 compact two-way radios for voice communication without a mobile phone on hikes, camping trips, in warehouses and during field work. Each radio has a built-in LED torch and a 1500 mAh lithium battery.
Communication and headset connection
The radios offer 16 channels and CTCSS/DCS tone support to help limit reception of unwanted transmissions on the selected channel. Communication range is up to 8 km in favourable conditions in open areas. Terrain, buildings, obstacles and radio interference affect the actual range, which may be shorter in cities, forests and indoors.
- Headsets: the included microphone headsets let you communicate without holding the radio near your face. A K-type socket accepts compatible headset accessories.
- Charging: a Micro USB port is provided, and a mains charger is included.
- Carrying: belt clips attach the radios to a belt, pocket or equipment; lanyards are also included.
- Lighting: each radio's built-in LED torch is useful after dark.
Size and operating conditions
The body measures approximately 11 × 5 × 2.5 cm without the antenna; the antenna is approximately 4.5 cm high. The operating temperature range is -10 °C to +40 °C. No IP rating is specified: do not treat the radios as waterproof, and protect them from rain and immersion in water.
