Choose countryThe Ermenrich Ping SM70 locates metal objects, wooden structures and live wires concealed in walls, floors and ceilings. It helps identify hidden objects before drilling, repair and installation work.
Detection modes and depths
- Studs: detects metal and wooden studs at depths up to 38 mm.
- Live wires: detects live wiring at depths up to 50 mm.
- Metals: detects non-ferrous metals up to 100 mm deep and ferrous metals up to 120 mm deep.
Display and controls
The 2.4-inch colour LCD shows the operating mode and a signal bar indicating how close an object is. Push-button controls, adjustable sensitivity and automatic calibration help you set up the detector. Audible alerts can be switched off.
Power and limitations
A 390 mAh, 3.7 V lithium-ion battery powers the device, which also features a low-battery indicator and automatic switch-off. A USB-C cable is included; the 5 V, 1 A DC charging adapter is not included. The detector does not detect empty or water-filled plastic pipes.
