Operating Modes and Capabilities
- Tone Generator and Amplifier Probe: the tone generator sends an audio signal through the target conductor, while the non-contact probe detects the signal along the route without physical wire disconnection.
- Continuity Testing (CONT Mode): checks circuit continuity with a 10 Ohm threshold, identifying short circuits, open circuits, and incorrect wire connections.
- Cable Tracing (TONE Mode): emits a selectable one-tone or two-note tone to distinguish the target line from adjacent cables across distances up to 1.5 km.
- Telephone Line Diagnostics: checks line polarity and identifies operational line conditions, including idle, ringing, and busy states.
