Electronic meter for water hardness and salinity. This tester will be useful in everyday life when checking the purity of drinking water and in other areas (for example, in aquariums or laboratory research).
The device is very easy to use - just remove the cap and immerse the electrodes in the tested water. It does not require external power supplies (mains), but only one CR2032 battery, making it extremely mobile and safe in contact with water.
The water hardness tester allows you to check the level of contamination of water with inorganic substances. The meter is calibrated in "ppm" - parts per million, which is the most popular method for determining the number of molecules of chemical compounds dissolved in water. The less polluted the water is, the lower its conductivity will be. Raw unfiltered water can give results up to 200 ppm or higher.
The electrical conductivity of water can be viewed as an indicator of salt content, waters with a low ionic content have low electrical conductivity, and seawater, for example, has a very high conductivity. The commonly used unit for measuring the conductivity of water is μS / cm (= microsiemens / cm). The conductivity of fresh water or pond water should be between 300 and 1200 μS / cm.
The measurement result is displayed on a clear LCD display. You will immediately check if the water is drinkable and suitable for other purposes.
Working with the tester is extremely simple - just dip the electrode in water, and the test result will immediately appear on the reader.
The HOLD function stores the measurement result, and SHIFT changes the TDS / EC measurement function.
