Handheld sugar refractometer, 0–32% Brix, ATC
Delivery options to:
Choose countryThis handheld refractometer measures sugar content in fruit and vegetable juices, wines and soft drinks. Its 0–32% Brix scale has 0.5% Brix divisions, supporting use in winemaking, home brewing, farming, gardening and education.
Optical readings and temperature compensation
Apply a few drops of the sample to the prism, close the cover and point the instrument towards a light source. Read the result through the eyepiece at the boundary between the blue and white areas. Manual focus adjustment helps bring the scale into view. The Brix scale indicates the concentration of dissolved solids in the liquid.
- ATC: automatic temperature compensation operates from 10–30 °C, so temperature changes within this range do not require recalibration.
- Calibration: manually set the reading to 0 using distilled water at an ambient temperature of about 20 °C.
- Portability: compact construction with a rubber handle and a weight of 96 g.
