Choose countryAjax TurretCam is a wired IP security camera for indoor and outdoor use. This white 8 MP version combines a 2.8 mm lens with True WDR, a built-in microphone and smart IR illumination reaching up to 50 m.
Event detection and privacy
On-camera AI recognises people, animals and vehicles. Selectable motion detection zones let you focus recording triggers on specific areas, while privacy zones hide parts of the image. Stream access can be configured separately for each system user.
- Alarm verification: scenarios allow Ajax detectors to trigger camera recording, with notifications linking to the relevant event video.
- Archive navigation: motion and scenario filters, a calendar view and export options help locate and retrieve recordings.
- Camera overview: the video wall in mobile and desktop apps offers rearrangeable camera tiles.
Connection and recording
The camera uses Ethernet networking and PoE or 12 V power. ONVIF and RTSP support integration with third-party surveillance systems. JetSparrow provides encrypted video transmission, while certificate-based mTLS authentication replaces default passwords. A camera can be linked to one Ajax space only.
Local recording requires a microSD card up to 256 GB, rated V30 or faster, sold separately. When using an NVR, HDD capacity up to 16 TB is supported; the hard drive is not included.

How is the camera powered?
The camera supports a 12 V ±20%, 1 A supply or PoE compliant with 802.3at/af. Network connectivity is through an RJ45 Ethernet port.
Is a memory card included?
No. Local storage requires a separately purchased microSD card up to 256 GB, rated V30 or faster. An HDD for NVR storage is also not included.
Can it work with third-party video surveillance systems?
Yes. ONVIF and RTSP are supported for integration. ONVIF support covers Profile S and partial Profile T.
