Choose countryThe Godox R1 is a compact, lightweight round LED light for photography and video, small enough to hold in your hand or carry in a bag. It can serve as a key light, backlight or effects light, with colour rendition ratings of CRI 98 and TLCI 97.
Colour control and effects
- RGB mode: adjust hue, saturation and brightness.
- CCT mode: set the colour temperature from 2500 to 8500 K to work with tungsten-balanced or daylight-balanced lighting.
- FX mode: RGB cycle, flash, laser, thunder, broken bulb, television, candle, fire, fireworks, police car, fire engine, ambulance, music and SOS effects.
- Music effect: the built-in microphone picks up sound, making the light pulse to its rhythm and change colour with changes in volume. No additional device is needed.
Mounting and charging
Rear magnets allow attachment to metal surfaces, while the included hook-and-loop strap helps secure the light to a smartphone. The R1 also works with AK-R1 magnetic modifiers designed for the V1 light.
The built-in lithium-ion battery provides 1.5 hours of operation at full power and charges through USB-C. This is a special-purpose photo and video light, not suitable for household room illumination.

No. The built-in microphone picks up music, clapping and other sounds. The light pulses to their rhythm and changes colour with variations in volume.
