The Saramonic Vmic5 is a super-cardioid condenser shotgun microphone designed for use with DSLR cameras, mirrorless cameras, camcorders, and audio recorders. Its directional acoustic design suppresses ambient background noise to capture focused dialogue and primary sound sources.
Audio Control and Monitoring
Rear-panel switches offer quick access to a 150 Hz high-pass filter to cut low-frequency interference from traffic or air conditioning, as well as a +10 dB level boost for cameras with weaker preamps. A dedicated 3.5 mm headphone output enables direct, latency-free audio monitoring during recording.
Shock Protection and Power
The unit incorporates a Robust Shock absorption system that isolates the capsule from handling noise, vibrations, and accidental bumps. Power is supplied by a built-in 2000 mAh rechargeable battery offering up to 150 hours of operation, rechargeable via its integrated USB-C port.
