The Venus Optics Laowa Magic Shift Converter LW-MSC 1.4x connects Nikon F wide-angle lenses to Nikon Z cameras and adds ±10 mm shift adjustment. This allows perspective correction to help keep lines straight in architectural and interior photography.
Optics and perspective control
Designed for the Laowa 12mm f/2.8, the converter also works with Nikon F wide-angle lenses from other manufacturers. Its optical design uses 5 elements in 4 groups to reduce chromatic aberration and distortion. The 1.4x image magnification helps reduce vignetting and enables perspective correction, with a light loss of 1 EV.
Controls and mounting
- Manual operation: the adapter does not transfer information from the lens to the camera. Focus and aperture must be set manually using the lens rings.
- Tripod attachment: the mounting foot has a 38 mm Arca-Swiss quick-release plate and a 1/4″ female tripod thread.
- Included: bayonet adapter, front and rear adapter covers, and tripod mount.
