Spikes and flexible fittings
Metal spikes beneath the sole are linked by chains to a flexible rubber fitting that wraps around the shoe. There are 6 spikes at the front and 2 at the rear, with a spike height of 1 cm. They can be used with hiking and winter footwear, provided the size and shape allow a proper fit.
Pull the fitting over the toe first, then stretch it over the heel. Check that the chains are not tangled, the spikes sit beneath the sole and the fitting holds securely around the shoe. No additional straps or tools are required.
Limitations and contents
These traction spikes do not eliminate the risk of slipping. They do not replace professional mountaineering crampons and are not intended for ice climbing or demanding high-mountain terrain. Avoid walking on bare asphalt, tiles and floors, as the spikes may slip, wear down or damage the surface.
