The DeWalt DCG404N-XJ is a compact 18 V cordless angle grinder for cutting and grinding with 125 mm discs. Designed for professional use, its compact construction supports work in confined spaces. This version is supplied without a battery or charger.

Control and protective functions

A brushless motor drives the tool, while a balanced centre of gravity and rubberised handle help with control. The paddle switch has a dead-man function that switches the tool off immediately when released.

Electronic brake: stops the disc quickly after switching off.
Electronic clutch: automatically switches the tool off if it jams. The brake and clutch work together to reduce kickback-related risks.
Quick-release nut: enables fast, tool-free accessory changes.

Battery system and included accessories

The grinder accepts DeWalt 18 V XR and XR Flexvolt batteries. It has a die-cast gearbox housing and an M14 accessory mounting system. A vibration-damping side handle and a guard for cutting and grinding are included.
