Choose countryThe Maclean MCE582 is an external aluminium enclosure for connecting an M.2 SATA SSD to a computer via USB. It supports 2230, 2240, 2260 and 2280 drive formats, but is not compatible with M.2 PCIe/NVMe SSDs.
Connection and operation
USB 3.0 supports data transfer rates up to 5 Gb/s, with backwards compatibility for USB 2.0 and USB 1.1. The enclosure works with PC and Mac computers. Plug & Play operation means no additional drivers need to be installed.

Can I use an M.2 NVMe SSD in this enclosure?
No. The enclosure is designed for M.2 SATA SSDs and is not compatible with M.2 PCIe/NVMe SSDs. Supported drive formats are 2230, 2240, 2260 and 2280.
Does it need a separate power adapter?
No, the enclosure draws power from the USB port. A USB 3.0 cable is included.
