The heart will slowly cool down over an hour (time depends on the ambient temperature; kneading the warmer will extend its effect).
When the heart turns whitish and has cooled down, just place it in hot water and boil for a few minutes (approx. 5-10 minutes; don't worry about boiling it, the warmer is designed for this). Then let it cool down completely, and you can enjoy your warmer again—just bend the disc to reactivate.
