Important Safety Instructions
WARNING: When installing and using this electrical equipment, basic safety precautions should always be followed.
- The pump must be supplied by a residual current device (RCD) having a rated residual operating current not exceeding 30 mA.
- The power source on the building wall should be more than 4m away from the pool. The appliance must be supplied by an earthed power source.
- RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK: Do not operate the pump when people are in the pool. Forbid access to the pool in case of damage to the sand filter.
- Do not bury the cord. Locate the cord to minimize abuse from lawn mowers, hedge trimmers, and other equipment.
- If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.
- Do not use extension cords.
- Always unplug this product from the electrical outlet before removing, cleaning, servicing or making any adjustments.
- This appliance can be used by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way.
- Place the sand filter on solid, level ground, at least 2 meters away from the pool.
- Pay attention to the position of the pool and pump so that adequate ventilation, drainage, and access for cleaning are available.
- To ensure clean water, it is recommended to run the filter for 8 hours every day.
- It is essential to check regularly that the filter and filter media are free from accumulated debris, which prevents good filtration.
