Choose countryThis stovetop moka pot brews ground coffee on a gas hob without a coffee machine. Its approximately 600 ml capacity makes up to 12 small cups in one brew.
Construction and brewing
Heated water from the lower chamber passes under pressure through the ground coffee, collecting as brewed coffee in the upper chamber. Brewing takes approximately 5 minutes. The three main parts separate for cleaning.
- Body: stainless steel with a polished, high-gloss finish.
- Coffee filter: a funnel with a filter basket holds the ground coffee.
- Seal: a silicone gasket joins the lower and upper sections.
- Handle: shaped plastic provides a comfortable pouring grip and reduces direct hand contact with the hot steel body.
Important use conditions
Fill the water chamber below the safety valve and do not tamp the coffee in the filter. Screw the sections together securely before heating. If steam escapes from the opening in the lower chamber, remove the pot from the hob. Hold the body, not the handle, when screwing or unscrewing the sections, as turning by the handle can damage it.
