Choose countryThe Intex 26642 is a sand filter pump for demountable pools. Hydro Aeration Technology™ combines filtration and aeration to help improve water clarity. Pump output is 3500 l/h, while system flow is 2.0 m³/h.
Filtration and controls
- Filter media: accepts No. 20 silica sand, glass sand or fibre filter balls.
- Controls: a built-in timer sets automatic operating time, a 5-position handle switches filter functions, and a pressure gauge allows pressure readings.
- Pre-filtration: a strainer basket catches larger debris.
- Installation: supplied pre-assembled, with a corrosion-resistant tank and a flange clamp that rotates through 360°.
Compatibility and contents
Compatible with Rectangular Frame™ Pool, Easy Set® Pool, Metal Frame™ Pool, Prism Frame™ Pool and Prism Frame™ Rectangular Pool. The set includes the pump, hoses, connectors, mounting parts and a user manual. Power supply: 220–240 V. Not suitable for permanent pools.
Important safety requirements
Assembly and disassembly must be carried out by adults. Children aged 8 and above and people with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or limited experience may use the device under supervision or after instruction in safe use, provided they understand the hazards. Children using the pump require constant adult supervision; they must not play with it or clean it unsupervised. Keep children a safe distance from the pump and power cables. Position the pump so children cannot climb on it to enter the pool.
Connect to a socket protected by a residual-current device with a trip current no greater than 30 mA; consult a qualified electrician if unsure. Do not use extension leads, external timers or power converters. Keep the plug at least 3.5 m from the pool and accessible after installation. Do not plug in or unplug while standing in water or with wet hands. Do not bury the cable; protect it from garden equipment. A damaged cable must be replaced by the manufacturer, a service technician or a qualified person. Disconnect before cleaning or repairs.
Do not operate the pump while the pool is in use. Do not enter the pool if suction-strainer parts are loose, damaged or missing; replace them immediately. Do not swim or play near suction equipment: body or hair entrapment can cause serious injury or drowning. Switch off the pump before changing the filter valve position. Never exceed the maximum working pressure marked on the tank. An incorrectly fitted tank valve cover can be blown off under pressure, causing property damage, serious injury or death. Use only for the purposes specified in the manual.

Can the pump run while people are swimming?
No. The pump must not operate while the pool is in use. It is designed only for demountable pools, not permanent pools.
