Magnification Range and Working Distance
Designed strictly for macro work, the lens operates across a 2.5:1 to 5:1 magnification range. It provides a working distance of 45mm at 2.5:1 and 40mm at 5:1 magnification (with minimum focusing distances of 23.4 cm and 17.3 cm respectively), leaving practical clearance for lighting.
Optics and Manual Control
The optical structure includes 8 elements in 6 groups, featuring an extra-low dispersion (ED) element to minimize chromatic aberrations and color fringing. Manual focus operation provides exact control over the focal plane, while the 25mm wide-angle optical formula provides greater depth of field than longer focal length macro lenses.
