The AstrHori MF 18mm f/5.6 APS-C Shift for Nikon Z is an ultra-compact pancake-style manual lens equipped with an optical axis shift mechanism. Built for Nikon Z mirrorless cameras with APS-C sensors, it provides a wide 76.8° angle of view and allows for perspective correction without tilting the camera body.
Perspective Correction and 360° Rotation
With an optical shift range of ±6mm (12mm total), the lens corrects converging vertical lines in architectural, interior, and street photography. The 360° rotation mechanism enables shifting in any direction—vertically, horizontally, or diagonally. This capability also facilitates multi-frame stitching to create high-resolution panoramic images.
Optical Design and Compact Build
The optical structure comprises 7 elements arranged in 5 groups, engineered to maintain edge-to-edge sharpness with minimal barrel distortion. Operating at a fixed f/5.6 aperture, it provides consistent exposure across different shooting conditions. Measuring 36mm in thickness and weighing 169g, it features a 58mm front filter thread for attaching standard optical filters.
- Optical axis shift of ±6mm (total 12mm) for straight vertical lines
- 360° rotating mount for multi-directional shift adjustments
- Fixed f/5.6 aperture for predictable exposure parameters
- Minimum focus distance of 30cm from the front element
- Front 58mm thread compatible with UV, ND, and CPL filters

What is included in the package?
The package includes the AstrHori MF 18mm f/5.6 APS-C Shift lens for Nikon Z, a front lens cap, and a rear lens cap.
Can this lens be used on full-frame Nikon Z cameras?
Full functionality is maintained on full-frame cameras only when not using the shift function. Engaging the optical shift on a full-frame sensor will result in natural vignetting due to image circle limitations.
What filter diameter does this lens accept?
The lens features a front thread size of 58mm (Ø58mm), compatible with standard screw-in filters such as UV, ND, or CPL.
