The AstrHori AF 85 mm f/1.8 II Full-frame is a classic portrait prime lens designed for Sony E-mount cameras, combining high brightness, responsive autofocus, and durable metal construction. Its 85 mm focal length yields natural facial proportions and minimal perspective distortion, making it suitable for portraits, product photography, lifestyle work, and video production.
Bright f/1.8 Aperture and Optical Structure
The fast f/1.8 maximum aperture delivers smooth background blur (bokeh) and facilitates shooting in dim light conditions. Its optical formula consists of 9 elements in 8 groups, treated with multi-layer anti-reflective coatings to suppress flare and ghosting while maintaining contrast when shooting against direct light sources.
Quiet STM Autofocus and Eye AF
Equipped with an STM stepping motor, the lens provides rapid, quiet focusing that avoids intrusive mechanical noise during video recording. It fully supports camera eye autofocus (Eye AF) and face tracking systems, keeping focus sharp on moving subjects.
Durable Metal Body and EXIF Transmission
The lens features a metal barrel and bayonet mount for long-term reliability. Gold-plated electrical contacts transmit comprehensive EXIF metadata directly to the camera body. Firmware updates can be applied independently via the integrated microUSB interface.
