The AstrHori AF 27 mm f/2.8 APS-C for Nikon Z is a lightweight, compact prime lens tailored for APS-C mirrorless cameras. Offering a 55° field of view—roughly equivalent to 40 mm on full frame—it replicates a natural perspective ideal for street photography, portraits, travel, and video creation.
Silent Autofocus and Subject Tracking
Powered by an STM stepping motor, the lens delivers fast, smooth, and quiet focusing. It fully supports Eye AF and face tracking systems in compatible cameras, keeping moving subjects sharp. Internal focusing ensures the lens does not extend during operation, preserving balance on gimbals and sliders.
Optics and Filmmaking Features
The optical configuration consists of 6 elements in 5 groups, combined with a 6-blade aperture that produces soft background blur at f/2.8. Designed with video shooters in mind, the aperture changes smoothly without click stops, preventing operational noise from being captured on audio tracks. The minimum focusing distance is 0.3 m for detailed close-ups.
Durable Build with USB-C Updates
Constructed from aerospace-grade aluminium, the lens weighs only 210 g. It features a standard 39 mm filter thread suitable for UV, ND, and CPL filters, as well as an integrated USB-C port for firmware updates.
