Choose countryThe Makita DHP489Z is an 18 V cordless combi drill for drilling and screwdriving, with a switchable hammer mechanism. This version comes in neutral outer packaging without a battery or charger.
Drilling and torque control
A brushless motor and compact gearbox provide 2 gears and 21 torque settings. Hard-joint torque is 73 Nm and soft-joint torque is 40 Nm. Drilling capacities are 16 mm in masonry and 13 mm in steel, with wood capacities of 38 mm using an auger bit or 51 mm using a Forstner bit.
- Speed control: electronic regulation and speed stabilisation.
- Handling: forward/reverse rotation and an electronic fast-stop brake.
- Work light: dual LEDs illuminate the working area in darker conditions.
- Bit changes: a keyless chuck accepts shanks from 1.5–13 mm.
Power and supplied accessories
The drill uses an LXT 18 V lithium-ion battery and features deep discharge protection. A hanging bracket and double-ended PH / LS bit are included. The battery and charger must be purchased separately.

No. The package contains the Makita DHP489Z, a hanging bracket and a double-ended PH / LS bit. An LXT 18 V lithium-ion battery and charger are not included.
