The Makita DDF492Z is an 18 V LXT cordless drill driver for drilling and screwdriving. This bulk version comes in neutral outer packaging, without a battery or charger.

Drilling and torque adjustment

A brushless motor and all-metal 2-speed gearbox provide the drive, with hard/soft torque of 130/65 Nm. The 21 torque settings let you adapt screwdriving force to the material. Drilling capacity is 76 mm in wood and 13 mm in steel.

Bit changes: the metal keyless chuck accepts shanks from 1.5–13 mm.
Visibility: the double LED light has pre-glow and afterglow functions.
Control: an electronic fast-stop brake helps control tool stopping.
Protection: electronic overload protection safeguards the tool, while deep discharge protection switches it off when the battery is low.

The compact design helps make the tool comfortable to hold during work. It requires a lithium-ion battery from the LXT 18 V system.
