Cutting system and drive
The brushless motor provides consistent performance, with a chain speed of 11.5 m/s. The narrow kerf of the SpeedCut-Nano cutting set enables more cuts per battery charge.
- Safety functions: a safety switch reduces accidental-start risks, while the quick chain stop helps reduce risks in the event of kickback.
- Lubrication: automatic chain lubrication and a transparent oil tank make it easy to check the oil level.
- Chain maintenance: tensioning and replacement require a tool stored on the device; neither operation is tool-free.
Battery system
The saw uses a lithium-ion battery from the Metabo 18V CAS system. The battery and charger are not included. This is not a one-handed saw.
