Secure Contactless Identification
The keypad features DESFire® technology based on the ISO 14443 standard with 128-bit encryption and copy protection. Ajax systems support up to 200 Pass cards or Tag fobs, enabling easy management of access rights for family members, employees, or visiting staff without creating dedicated Ajax accounts.
Long Communication Range and Anti-Sabotage
Using the proprietary Jeweller radio protocol, KeyPad Plus communicates reliably with an Ajax hub at a distance of up to 1700 meters in open areas. Multilevel protection features include:
- Tamper alarm against unauthorized dismounting or enclosure opening.
- Keypad lock and alarm trigger after three consecutive incorrect passcode attempts.
- Duress code for simulating disarming while sending a silent alarm to a monitoring station.
- Communication loss detection in under one minute.
Extended Battery Autonomy and Easy Setup
The device operates for up to 4.5 years on pre-installed lithium AA batteries, or up to 3.5 years with the contactless reader in daily use. Pairing with the Ajax hub is performed quickly in the mobile app by scanning a QR code.
