The filter is easy to maintain. Simply remove it and rinse it with a high-pressure water stream. If the filter remains heavily soiled after cleaning, it has lost its effectiveness and should be replaced. For this reason, it's a good idea to keep a supply of spare filters on hand.
The manufacturer recommends replacing the filter 4 to 6 times during a single season, depending on usage.
